The Missouri Doula Association is honored to be a recipient of funding through the State of Missouri’s Rural Health Transformation Program to strengthen and expand the rural maternal health workforce across Missouri.
This initiative focuses on building sustainable rural doula workforce infrastructure through training, certification, credentialing, Medicaid enrollment and managed care contracting, and billing and claims support.
Please note: This is a workforce development and infrastructure initiative and is not an individual grant application or direct-service funding program for doulas or organizations. In accordance with the state and federal guidelines, funding cannot be used to pay for direct doula/client services, general administrative expenses of doula practices or organizations, or grants to organizations to provide doula services.
We are currently in the early development and infrastructure phase of the project. We anticipate expanding partnerships and offering additional rural training and certification opportunities in late 2026 and early 2027.
Support is available now for doulas who need assistance with Missouri Medicaid/MMAC credentialing and onboarding, managed care contracting, or Medicaid billing and claims.
